“I was completely blown away by the spa at Hacienda AltaGracia. The nearly Olympic size pool, set in iridescent blue tiles, offers stunning views of the clouds, flowers, and birds passing by. I enjoyed a massage that was truly the best I’ve ever had—combining acupressure, Swedish strokes, and adjustments, it was a rejuvenating experience I would recommend to anyone.” view full review

“Dining at Ambar was a highlight of my stay. From the perfectly crafted crawfish bisque to the duck breast with local berry sauce, every dish was a delight. I even found myself reaching for my camera to capture the beautiful presentation of the food. Breakfast was equally tantalizing, with the porridge bursting with flavors from steamed mangoes and prunes. The vibrant, locally grown ingredients made each meal lovely.” view full review

“Staying in my casita was pure luxury. It was exceptionally spacious, complete with a kitchenette stocked with refreshing juices and an array of local snacks. The mahogany ceilings and artistic decor provided a blend of comfort and sophistication. My private deck offered amazing views down to a koi pond, making it the perfect place to unwind with a drink while listening to the unique sounds of the forest.” view full review

“The master bath was a true sanctuary. It featured beautiful mahogany built-in drawers and dual sinks along with a massive marble shower that could easily accommodate four people. My stay at Hacienda AltaGracia was truly remarkable. The stunning views, impeccable service, and a variety of exciting activities made for an unforgettable experience. From the beautiful rooms to the exceptional dining options, the resort exceeded my expectations. The only minor downside was the distance from the main city, but it was well worth it for the tranquility and beauty of the surroundings.

I had an incredible time at Hacienda AltaGracia! The resort is beautifully designed and offers a unique blend of luxury and a local touch at a fantastic value. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable, and the activities offered kept us entertained throughout our visit. The only downside was the long drive from San Jose; however, it was worth every minute. Overall, this place is a true gem for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy nature with excellent service.

The resort itself is stunning with ample amenities and a beautiful setting in the cloud forest, but the service fell short at times, especially for a place at this price point.
